Ever wondered why goat's milk in your coffee may taste like 'stirring your coffee with a lamb chop'? Or whether beetroot tastes 'earthy' and strawberry 'pineappleish'? Niki Segnit, bestselling author of The Flavour Thesaurus, shared about the inspiration behind her book and how some flavour combinations - once popular - have been lost. For example, did you know that apple and chocolate was a British favourite until Terrys introduced chocolate and orange?

A fantastic night during which Niki also shared a sampling of chocolate and mustard cookies with the audience (which I sadly missed out on and since I don't bake, may never know - LOL). If you missed out, there are signed copies in store. Be inspired in the kitchen and take your tastebuds on an adventure by picking up a copy!
