Photographer Bronagh Wilson

'Armagh Gaol,' Bronagh Wilson's first exhibition, is a study of the Victorian prison, a grade 'B' listed building situated at the end of the city's historic mall.  During the Troubles in the North of Ireland, the gaol held primarily female political prisoners, including Bronagh's mother, and is currently the subject of a planning application to convert it into a modern hotel.

‘Unseen Women: Armagh Stories’ (video 26 mins) by Cahal McLaughlin and Jolene Mairs. Jolene’s editing of material from the Prisons Memory Archive raises questions about the representation of memories in a society emerging out of violence and where narratives continue to be contested. www.prisonsmemoryarchive.com
