                                          Mar 17, 2011. 7pm

NOTE: WE REGRET TO INFORM YOU THAT THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED

Author Michael Arditti will discuss his work and his latest novel Jubilate, to be released in February 2011, in conversation with writer Rosemary Furber. His previous novels include The Celibate, Easter, and The Enemy of the Good. Easter was Winner of the Mardi Gras & Waterstone’s Book Award 2000 and Longlisted for the Costa Novel Award. There will also be a Q&A with the author and a book-signing session.

                                          Reviews of Easter
'A huge book written with wit, compassion and a sharp critical eye. The writing is packed with daring imaginative leaps. Apart from Arditti's brilliant comic scills, there is a deep moral core' - Financial Times

'A technically impressive, emotionally moving and deeply disturbing chronicle of death and resurrection. A profoundly and passionately religious novel' - Independent on Sunday

Reviews of The Enemy of the Good
‘Anyone who is afraid that the English novel is sliding into a backwater of domestic anecdote should find their anxieties assuaged by the writing of Michael Arditti’ -The Times

'Vivid, gently humourous... a complex and fascinating work' - Good Book Guide
