Alvin Pang is a Singaporean poet, editor, and writer whose work has been translated into over fifteen languages and featured in anthologies, journals, and publications all over the world, including The Wolf (UK), English Review (UK), Salt (Australia), Paper Tiger (Australia), Washington Square Review (USA), and the Quarterly Literary Review Singapore. His poetry has also appeared at the Poetry Society and the Poetry Library in London; and has been staged by professional theatre companies in the US, Malaysia and Singapore. Alvin was Singapore’s Young Artist of the Year in Literature in 2005, and received the Singapore Youth Award in 2007 for Arts & Culture. He was featured at the 2003 Edinburgh International Book Festival and the 2006 Sydney Writer's Festival as an invited international poet, and has also read at literary festivals and events in more fifteen cities. This summer, he will be performing at the Poetry Parnassus at the Southbank Centre in London. His latest book is When the Barbarians Arrive, a collection of new and selected poems, published by Arc Publications in the UK.
