Rosie Wilby presents 'Absolute Love'

Following her dissection of lust and attraction in 2009 in her 'The Science Of Sex,' award winning Radio 4 featured comedian Rosie Wilby explores the extreme terrain of total and complete romantic love.
Starting with the break up of her last relationship in the aftermath of New Year’s Eve 2010, she asks why her own ‘love-o-meter’ had frozen at absolute zero (-273 Centigrade) and whether romance in fiction presents us with a completely unrealistic view where obstacles and problems only serve to heighten the reward when we reach the eventual happy ending. Imagine if Romeo and Juliet’s parents had been quite happy for them to get together. That would be a really boring play.
Aided by her two favourite tools, music and science, she dons her armour and fake plastic sword to play the romantic hero for once and attempt to bring some cinematic swooning into her own South London life and rescue her new relationship from the evil forces of complacency and boredom. Triangular love theory and Foreigner songs may never meet again...

AAA explores a year in Liz’s life.  Armed with ukulele and casio keyboard her comedic stories tell of her mothers death, father’s Alzheimer’s, writing an MA dissertation on psychosomatics, separation, mid life crisis, being a single mother, psychotherapist and insomniac with morbid jealousy ....

"Like a female Ivor Cutler" – The Scotsman
“Bentley has such a warm, open personality that we’ve yet to see an audience fail to be drawn in and love her. The fact that she has a keen talent for observation and self-deprecation adds to the enjoyment and she is also, simply, hilarious” — The Londonist
